About MonsiTag: who runs it and how the tools are made
MonsiTag is a small site with free costing calculators, a $39 spreadsheet toolkit and a fixed-price product CSV cleanup for independent apparel brands. It is run by one person, Raian Mehrak Noor, in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Who is responsible for MonsiTag?
Raian Mehrak Noor runs MonsiTag alone: he writes the tools, the copy and the files, and answers every message. His LinkedIn profile is the only public profile linked from this site. Email is the support route: monsibdtheadventurer@gmail.com. No phone line or street address is published.
He also runs other projects. MonsiTag is a sister project of MonsiTrade, a garment supply business in Dhaka; the two are separate, and MonsiTag does not source or manufacture garments or refer buyers to a supplier. The family also includes MonsiTools (calculators and workflows), Mr. Radiant (web and marketing work), MonsiKit and MonsiQuote.
What does MonsiTag do?
- Three free calculators: garment cost per unit, markup, margin and break-even, and size and colour order splits. They run in your browser and send nothing.
- A Starter Toolkit ($39, one-time): costing and quote-comparison workbooks, RFQ and purchase order templates, two checklists and a short guide.
- Apparel Catalog Rescue: a fixed-scope cleanup of a product CSV, from $149 for up to 25 SKUs.
- Two guides on pricing and product data, written from the same code and files.
What does MonsiTag not do?
- No sourcing, manufacturing, factory introductions or pattern making.
- No legal labeling, fit and grading, duty or tax advice.
- No store management, advertising or guaranteed results such as rankings or sales.
- No access to your store. Cleanups are done on a CSV file you send.
How were the tools and files made and checked?
I wrote the calculators as plain JavaScript functions with no framework and tested them with automated unit tests, including the rounding and blank-versus-zero rules. The page shows each formula, and the methodology page lists assumptions and limits. In a browser test, the tools make no network requests while you type.
I built the toolkit workbooks with real spreadsheet formulas, recalculated them in LibreOffice and compared the results with an independent calculation. I have not opened them in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, and the toolkit page says so. Example data in the toolkit and the sample cleanup report is invented and labelled as such.
How do you get in touch?
Email monsibdtheadventurer@gmail.com or use the contact page. The reply target is two business days. For a catalog cleanup, the enquiry form asks six short questions.
