How the spreadsheets behave
- Real formulas, not pasted numbers. Change an input and the results change.
- Input cells and calculated cells look different and are also labelled "Input" and "Calculated", so colour is not the only clue.
- Blank and zero are handled on purpose: a missing fabric price is flagged, not turned into a free fabric.
- Fictional example data only. Each costing workbook has a worked example sheet and a blank sheet.
- The costing formulas were checked against an independent calculation and against this site's free calculators on the same test cases.
Compatibility
- Spreadsheets (.xlsx): built and recalculated with LibreOffice. They use ordinary functions (IF, IFERROR, SUM, COUNTIFS, ROUNDUP). The author has not opened them in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, so if something looks off there, tell us.
- Documents (.docx): open in Word, LibreOffice Writer and Google Docs. Fonts are standard system fonts.
- Guide (.pdf): any PDF reader.
- Macros are not used. Nothing needs an internet connection.
What it does not do
Do not rely on this toolkit for legal labeling, fit or grading, duty or tax, or factory engineering. It organises numbers and information you enter. It has no database of duty rates, labeling rules, size charts or fabric properties, and it does not convert currencies.
- No technical packs, patterns or grading rules.
- No guarantee that a supplier will accept an RFQ or purchase order in the form given. The templates carry only what you enter.
- The checklists reduce mistakes before an import. They do not promise an error-free import. Always back up your store and test with a few rows first.
Not for: anyone who needs a custom costing model, an ERP, or a sourcing agent.

- Email monsibdtheadventurer@gmail.com. We aim to reply within two business days.
- Defect fixes for 1.0.1 are sent to buyers for 12 months after purchase. No promise of future versions or new features.
- Refund within 14 days if the files are defective or materially not as described. Details on the refund page.
- The files come with a license: use them in your own business, edit them freely, do not resell or share them.
